About Kerf Puzzle

Kerf Puzzle is the free puzzle site of Kerf Press, which makes logic puzzle books. Play the puzzles here one at a time on any screen, or print them.

How the puzzles are made

Every puzzle is made by software we wrote ourselves, and each one is checked before it goes up. It has exactly one solution, and our solver reaches that solution by logic alone, without guessing. A puzzle's level comes from the techniques it needs, not from how many cells are given.

If you get stuck, the hint button shows the next logical step and explains it. The technique guides collect the same steps, with examples.

The site and the books

The puzzles here are made for the site. No puzzle on this site is printed in one of our books, and no puzzle from a book is posted here.

The site has no ads and no accounts. Your progress stays in your browser.
